KEYSTONE lounge chair is inspired by the three fundamental elements of a Roman bridge: the arching spans, the supporting building blocks, and the keystone—the crucial final piece that locks the structure in place and completes its form. Originally, KEYSTONE was created as a 450-kilo sculpture in concrete, rubber, and Ceramics. In collaboration with the designer duo OS & OOS, the idea emerged to transform this artwork into a functional lounge chair. The chair is composed of three distinct, yet harmoniously connected elements: a solid backrest, a gently curved seat, and a wedge-shaped central section. These components work together to create a comfortable seating experience while inviting both relaxation and interaction. Its sturdy construction and playful character also make it a kid-friendly piece. This version of the KEYSTONE lounge chair is upholstered with premium textiles from Kvadrat and is available in a wide range of colour combinations, allowing for seamless integration into any interior.
